What This Site Provides

Read aloud, text up to twice its size, a keyboard-reachable site, and no raster images.

Read aloud. Nearly every content page and section carries a control that reads the page aloud using your browser's own speech.

Text size. A text-size control in the header lets you scale the site's type up to roughly twice its normal size without the layout breaking.

Keyboard reachability. Every interactive element on the site can be reached and used from a keyboard alone.

Named landmarks. Pages are built with real structural regions, header, navigation, main content and footer, so a screen reader user can jump directly to the part of the page they want.

No raster images for symbols. Diagrams and glyphs are drawn as line art rather than a photograph or a bitmap image.

The Standard We Aim At

This site is built and checked against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines at its AA level. We have not commissioned a formal, independent audit against that standard; what is here is our own ongoing work toward it.

Report a Barrier

If something on this site is hard or impossible to use with a screen reader, at a large text size, or from a keyboard alone, tell us. Use the contact page and describe what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and what you were using.
